Alpha Umaru Bah, Esq. is a distinguished legal practitioner, accomplished writer, essayist, and poet. Called to the Bar in 2022, he holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in History and Sociology, both from Fourah Bay College, University of Sierra Leone.
A prolific literary figure, Mr. Bah’s works—including Beyond Words, My Mother at 58, and I’m Human Too—have been widely published in leading outlets such as Salone Times and other media platforms. His writings delve into themes of humanity, social justice, and personal introspection, earning him recognition as a compelling voice in contemporary literature.
During his secondary education at the Prince of Wales School, Mr. Bah showcased exceptional leadership and intellectual prowess. He served as Quiz Captain in Sierra Leone’s 50th Anniversary National Quiz Competition and actively participated in debating, alongside holding multiple student leadership roles. As a dedicated educator, he also volunteered as a teacher at his alma mater.
His legal and literary expertise is further enriched by specialized training in human rights and governance. He has earned certifications from the Centre for Human Rights, Faculty of Law, University of Pretoria, in:
