This agreement is evidence of our collective commitment and determination to make sure the AfCFTA is not just another grand AU project that ultimately decorates government shelves in the region, says Kory Africa CEO, Eric Chinje

Two recently-created regional organizations, Focus Africa and Kory Africa, SA, have agreed to work together to contribute to the success of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).  Led by their respective Chief Executive Officers, Sucex Bright and Eric Chinje, they signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in Yaounde today to promote the Science, Innovation and Commodity Expo to be held from August 2 to  07 in Abuja-Nigeria.

This partnership will ensure the success of the event in Abuja which will highlight critical sectors of economic growth in Africa and what exactly countries in the region will bring to our Common Market,” Focus Africa head Sucex Bright said. “It is important, for the overall success of the AfCFTA, that we inform people on the continent and beyond of existing innovations and Made in Africa product brands.

The Abuja Expo is the first in a series that will seek to reverse the chronic dependence of African countries on the exportation overseas of raw materials and the importation back into the continent of processed products from the same raw materials.

This agreement is evidence of our collective commitment and determination to make sure the AfCFTA is not just another grand AU project that ultimately decorates government shelves in the region,” said Kory Africa CEO, Eric Chinje. “Working with media across Africa, we will inform and educate citizens everywhere on the promise and challenges of an African Common Market.  The Focus Africa exposition is a chance to jumpstart that process.

Kory Africa SA is a strategic communications firm with representation in over a dozen African countries working to enrich development conversations in Africa and support the continent’s drivers of change.

Focus Africa is an Events Organization outfit registered in Nigeria with offices in Cameroon, Botswana and Zambia.
