Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Kamal Madbouly to Declare Open Africa Water Week on Sunday, 13th October in Cairo

Egypt's Prime Minister, Dr. Mostafa Kamal Madbouly, will open the 9th Africa Water Week in Cairo on Sunday, 13th October 2024. The event, themed "Placing Water and Sanitation at the Heart of Achieving Agenda 2063: The Africa We Want," will be held alongside the 7th Cairo Water Week at the Triumph Hotel.

The 9th Africa Water Week will gather over 1,500 participants, including political leaders, technical experts, and civil society from across Africa and globally. With 35 technical sessions, six plenaries, and special events, the conference will focus on sustainable solutions for Africa’s water challenges and climate resilience. The discussions will form the foundation for an African water vision and policy framework, emphasizing inclusive water security. Attendees include member states, RECs, RLBOs, development partners, and community-based organizations
