The Manyu All Music Festival, a cultural jamboree geared at Promoting Manyu folklore and Manyu Urban music has been scheduled to run from June 30 to July 2, 2023, in Buea with other subsequent editions to be held in Mamfe,

The Manyu All Music Festival has come to give a platform to the local artists and push the culture to the world and glorify its legends, who have done a lot to put Manyu music and the beautiful culture on the map.

Manyu people are noted for their culture. The tribe is well known for their esteemed Monikim dance, Ekpe society, Obasinjom and the popular fufu and Eru dish which is consumed by the entire Cameroonian society and even among foreigners.

Prince Ashu Joel, founder of the Manyu All Music Festival and a stunt music and talent promoter from Ewelle village in Eyumojock Subdivision located in Manyu Division said they aim to organize the festival in different countries, to exhibit “our rich cultural heritage.”

Joel Ashu said he is optimistic about the way things are going during a conversation with Pan African Visions. He said the entire world is watching and eager to be part of this brilliant idea.

“This year we have the legendary Bate Nico as the headliner of the festival, others include Maxy Manorh, Ma Tabe Fruitful, Denis Smart, Reilly Ebini, DJ Platini, Ayuk Nyanga, Eta Mandenge and others.  Manyu Urban artists like King B Otang and many other youngsters in the music industry in Cameroon will be present for this maiden edition of the Manyu All Music Festival 2023,” Prince Ashu Joel said.

The Manyu All Music Festival is a three-day festival which will feature a music workshop, a gala match and the main event at the mountain hotel on July 2, 2023. The music workshop will focus on artists using social media and digital platforms to boost their careers.

This first edition will be in Buea from June 30, 2023, to July 2, 2023, and other subsequent editions will be in Mamfe, the capital of Manyu Division commonly known as the mother town. According to the organizer, the ongoing crisis in Anglophone Cameroon has not permitted this musical jamboree to be hosted in Manyu.

Joel Ashu also hinted at Pan African Visions that this year, the diaspora edition will be hosted, although dates and event venues are yet to be announced. Organizers are calling on all Manyu sons and Daughters to support the festival materially and financially, as the team are open to partnership and sponsorship.
