Ghana: Double Track System Will Not Be Implemented This Year-Deputy Minister Of Education

By Maxwell Nkansah [caption id="attachment_95508" align="alignnone" width="600"] Deputy Minister for Education, Honorable Yaw Osei Adutwum[/caption] The Deputy Minister for Education, Honorable Yaw Osei Adutwum has said that double track system schooling at the secondary level of education has come to an end. The double track system which was introduced in the 2018/2019 academic year in 400 senior high schools in the country as an intervention to allow schools accommodate more students within the same facility due to increase in enrollment as existing facilities the schools could not accommodate the increase. According to the Minister, lack of accommodation for students which was the reason for the introduction of the double track system has now been solved with the help of the GetFund and over one thousand four hundred educational facilities have been provided to help aid in accommodation. He however said the resolution centers are however opened and still in operation to help some students who still have problems with their school placement while speaking on the Peace FM evening News.
