By addressing regional policy gaps, the PPAC directly supports the realization of AU frameworks, particularly those outlined in Agenda 2063 and the AGA

Public policy plays a crucial role in shaping the future of any nation, especially in a dynamic country like Cameroon. As Cameroon navigates developmental challenges, the need for informed and skilled policymakers has never been greater. In this context, a Public Policy Analysis Course is an essential tool for stakeholders across the public policy ecosystem.

This course, which will run from March 10-12 at the La Falaise Hotel, Yaoundé aims to improve policy outcomes and enhance governance in Cameroon by equipping these stakeholders with the required knowledge and skills to analyze, evaluate, and design policies effectively.

In Cameroon, strengthening the policy ecosystem is key to addressing the country’s pressing issues.

Relevance of a Public Policy Analysis Course for Cameroon
Sustainable development challenges cannot be addressed without rigorous policy analysis. Unfortunately, too often, policies are implemented without proper evaluation of their impacts or with a lack of inclusive stakeholder participation. This Public Policy Analysis Course (PPAC) aims to bridge this gap.

By offering a structured, evidence-based approach to policymaking, the course will empower stakeholders to: Analyze the relevance, effectiveness, and efficiency of existing policies; design policies that are inclusive, sustainable, and equitable; understand the social, economic, and political context of policy decisions; use data and research to inform policymaking and engage the public and private sectors in the policy development process.

Who Will Benefit from the PPAC? – Target Audience

Key stakeholders to benefit from this course include government officials and policymakers, Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), academic and research institutions and the private sector.
