President Emmerson Mnangagwa on Sunday closed the summit symposium of hundreds  regional congregants. He showed his spirit of African patriotism when he raised high the flag of Pan-Africanism. He expressed vividly that SADC countries will always stand by their objective mission to support and promote spirit of Pan-Africanism in-order to teach, educate and inspire future generations.

He addressed delegates gathered at the site expressing the height of Pan-Africanism raised by all African countries as a vital initiative meant to heighten African liberation struggle brought on the table by dedicated liberators.

On the other hand, he vehemently described this as a continental project meant to raise the history of African countries colonization by the western world. He further said that the museum of African liberation brings back memories of bitter struggle which led to the liberation of the whole continent.

He further on expressed Zimbabwe’s pride in hosting the museum of African Liberation which embodies that spirit in those who worked hard to bring bread and butter on many tables in the continent.  He further elaborated that the symbolic feature display of the African Liberation Museum is benefit to the present and future generations.

‘’Zimbabweans remain inspired by our collective national history. This cascades down as well to the region as a whole and to the rest of the African continent which remains liberated, in peace, harmony and unity.’’

‘’It is time high that we set the record straight in-order to document our path to liberation, tell the present and future generations that the rest of Africa was fought for all through effort of those who made it happen’’.

‘’Our history must remain acknowledged. It is high time we set our record straight, otherwise History will judge our generations with disinterest while our history is falsified’’

He ended by thanking all the African leaders, civil society from the region, NGO[Non-Governmental Organization leaders and media for making significant contributions towards national and regional development.
