Former President Peter Mutharika has propelled a scorching bash on the Malawi Congress Party (MCP) blaming it of diving the nation into chaos through economic fumble.
Mutharika made the remarks during a presser at his base in the lakeshore district of Mangochi.
"We can't nourish our claim individuals. We can't print our international ids. We can't print a driving permit. We can't construct a street," he said.
Mutharika who leads the Democratic Progressive Party faulted the MCP for coordinating savagery against his party individuals, counting later assaults in Lilongwe where "DPP vehicles were vandalized and stripped."
"The DPP wrote the Secretary of the MCP condemning the viciousness. He did not react. We want to request that President Chakwera condemns the political boorishness. The President opted to stay quiet. "That's when we knew that the savagery and turmoil we have seen is presently an official arrangement of the MCP administration,’’ Mutharika said.
Mutharika pledged that the DPP, presently "more joined together than ever," will win following year's races and conclusion the "abuse."
"On the off chance that it is the will of Malawians that I must stand and lead the individuals, I will stand and we are going win. You cannot halt the will of the individuals," he said.
He has since challenged Malawians to vote of his party in 2025.
