ATAF To Host Second Technical Conference In South Africa

By Wallace Mawire The African Tax Administration Forum  (ATAF)  is to  partner  with the Network of Tax Organisations (NTO) to host the NTO’s second Technical Conference in Cape Town, South Africa from 5th to 7th September 2023. According to an ATAF spokesperson, the conference   will focus on modernising tax issues under the theme “Digitalisation of Tax Administrations and Contemporary Issues.” The spokesperson added that  the hybrid event is expected to bring together more than 500 participants from more than 100 countries to exchange best practices related to the digital transformation of tax administrations around the world. The NTO is a network of comprised of nine regional and international tax organisations that aims to develop a global platform to strengthen tax systems around the world for the well-being of citizens. The NTO is facilitated by the International Tax Compact which is funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and the European Union (EU).
