Pastor Komba Raymond Mani, General Overseer of International House of Prayer Ministries (IHOPM) has received the United States President Joe R. Biden Life Time Achievement Award at the National Press Club in Washington DC.
Mr. Mani was honoured for his service to his community, and his contribution towards the development of youths in Maryland. The award was given to him together with Sierra Leonean journalist and African Beat show host David Buakei Vandy of the Voice of America and other global leaders during the African and Caribbean International Leadership Awards Gala held in collaboration with the 51st United States Congressional Black Caucus Annual Legislative Conference.
‘’ I am honoured to be awarded such a prestigious award in the midst of other great men that has done so exceptionally well in the pursuit and development of the American dream. I am proud and humble to serve humanity as a man of God and other aspects in the American society,’’ he said.
Mr. Mani, a man of God , a community organizer in his community has been a championed to changing the lives of young people, teenagers and the aged organizing outreach educational and religious programmes aimed at uplifting the lives of people in his community through his religious work, with counselling, and psychosocial support over the years.
‘’ I know I owe the society as a humble man of God, that is why I have been playing my part. Now, this is the reward of working hard through the grace of God, this is possible. Many thanks to the church, my family, my communities for giving me the opportunity to serve. I dedicate this award and accolade to you. You all made this possible,’’ Pastor Komba Raymond Mani lamented.
The General Overseer of International House of Prayer Ministries added that black people have contributed greatly to the development of the US in all spheres of life from education, commerce, business to name a few stating that they are proud to be contributing to making America and their origin a better place.
‘’ Our community development programs and services have benefits over 2,000 youth, young adults and families every year... such as Mentorship Program College and beyond.. Youth mission Tour... Children been educated Events,’’ the Man of God boasted.
Pastor Raymond Mani have won other several awards for his contribution to his community in Maryland for his work for humanity and God.
