U.S. technology company Cybastion has been awarded the Innovative Digital Transaction Award by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Côte d’Ivoire (CCI-CI), recognizing the financing structure supporting some of the country’s largest digital infrastructure projects.

The award was presented during a high-level ceremony attended by senior government officials, institutional investors, business leaders, and development partners from Côte d’Ivoire and the United States. The gathering focused on strengthening commercial partnerships, expanding private sector investment, and supporting the country’s economic development agenda.

Cybastion Chief Executive Officer Dr. Thierry Wandji Ketchiozo accepted the award on behalf of the company. The recognition reflects Cybastion’s role in developing financing solutions for strategic digital infrastructure that will strengthen Côte d’Ivoire’s technology ecosystem and modernize public services.

The award follows a major milestone achieved last year when the Export-Import Bank of the United States (EXIM) approved more than US$100 million in financing guarantees for Cybastion and a consortium of U.S. technology companies. The financing will support construction of a national data center while facilitating the export of U.S. technologies to help digitalize government services across Côte d’Ivoire.

The projects form part of a broader partnership between the Government of Côte d’Ivoire and Cybastion to expand digital infrastructure, strengthen cybersecurity, improve government service delivery, and build the country’s digital economy.

The recognition came as stakeholders gathered to discuss financing for Côte d’Ivoire’s 2026–2030 National Development Plan (PND), the government’s blueprint for attaining upper-middle-income status by 2030 through greater private investment, industrial development, and digital transformation.

Cybastion’s projects support several priorities contained in the plan, including expanding digital infrastructure, improving public administration through technology, and creating an environment that attracts investment while strengthening the country’s digital sovereignty.

The award recognizes Cybastion’s contribution to expanding digital infrastructure and modernizing government services in Côte d’Ivoire.

The ceremony also recognized other organizations advancing investment and development across Africa. Florie Liser, President and CEO of the Corporate Council on Africa (CCA), accepted an award on behalf of the organization, while Bintou Kaboré Zerbo, Executive Director of the Institutional Investor Network (IIN), received the Capital Mobilization Innovation Award in recognition of IIN’s work in developing financing mechanisms that support sustainable development and inclusive economic growth.

Cybastion is a member of both CCA and IIN, organizations that continue to promote stronger collaboration between governments, investors, development finance institutions, and the private sector.

The award adds to Cybastion’s growing presence in Africa, where governments are investing heavily in digital infrastructure, cybersecurity, and technology-driven public services. As countries seek to build secure digital economies and expand access to modern government services, innovative financing has become an increasingly important component of delivering large-scale infrastructure projects.

For Côte d’Ivoire, the recognition reflects growing international confidence in the country’s digital ambitions and the partnerships supporting their implementation. For Cybastion, it marks another milestone in its work to support Africa’s digital transformation through investment, technology, and long-term infrastructure development.
