The Africa GCC Council has strengthened its footprint in the Gulf region with the appointment of The Corporate Group (TCG) as its new Strategic Partner and official Middle East headquarters, a move expected to deepen trade, investment and institutional cooperation between Africa and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.
The Corporate Group Africa GCC Council announced the partnership as a major step in advancing their shared vision of creating stronger commercial, investment and policy links between African economies and the Middle East.
According to the Africa GCC Council, the partnership significantly enhances its operational presence in the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia while providing a stronger platform to connect African governments, investors, businesses and entrepreneurs with opportunities across the Gulf.
The Council described the agreement as an important milestone in expanding its regional influence and accelerating initiatives designed to facilitate investment flows, encourage strategic partnerships and unlock new business opportunities between the two regions.
With nearly two decades of experience supporting companies, investors and entrepreneurs throughout the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and the wider GCC region, The Corporate Group brings extensive expertise in market entry, business advisory services and corporate support.
By becoming the Middle East headquarters of the Africa GCC Council, TCG will serve as the organization’s operational gateway for both the United Arab Emirates and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The partnership is expected to provide African companies with easier access to Gulf markets while helping Gulf investors identify high-potential investment opportunities across the African continent.
The collaboration reflects the growing momentum in Africa-Gulf economic relations, as both regions increasingly seek to diversify trade, expand investment portfolios and strengthen cooperation across sectors including infrastructure, manufacturing, agriculture, logistics, financial services, renewable energy and technology.
A major focus of the partnership will be the continued development of the Africa Pavilion at AIM Congress, one of the Council’s flagship initiatives designed to showcase Africa’s investment opportunities to international investors and business leaders.
AIM Congress has emerged as one of the world’s leading investment forums, bringing together government leaders, policymakers, sovereign wealth funds, development institutions and private sector executives from across the globe to explore emerging investment opportunities and forge strategic partnerships.
Under the new partnership, The Corporate Group will contribute its regional expertise, extensive business network and strategic capabilities to strengthen the Africa Pavilion, helping governments, investors and companies navigate investment opportunities while facilitating concrete business deals between African and Gulf stakeholders.
Rather than serving solely as an exhibition space, the Africa Pavilion is increasingly being positioned as a platform for investment matchmaking, policy dialogue and commercial engagement, where governments can present national investment opportunities, businesses can establish partnerships and investors can identify bankable projects across the continent.
The Africa GCC Council says its ambition is to transform the Africa Pavilion into a dynamic hub where investment discussions translate into tangible commercial outcomes and long-term strategic partnerships.
The announcement comes as preparations gather pace for the next edition of AIM Congress, scheduled for September 7–9, 2026, at the Dubai World Trade Centre in the United Arab Emirates.
The Council has branded the event under the theme “The Voice of Africa in the Heart of the Middle East,” reflecting its broader objective of positioning Africa as a premier destination for Gulf investment while strengthening economic diplomacy between the two regions.
As investment ties between Africa and the Gulf continue to expand, partnerships such as this are expected to play an increasingly important role in connecting capital with opportunity. Gulf sovereign wealth funds, family offices and private investors are showing growing interest in African infrastructure, energy, agribusiness, digital transformation, tourism and industrial development, while African businesses are seeking greater access to Gulf markets, financing and strategic partnerships.
By combining the Africa GCC Council’s continental network with The Corporate Group’s extensive presence and experience in the Gulf, the new partnership aims to create a stronger institutional bridge capable of accelerating investment, facilitating market access and supporting sustainable economic growth across both regions.
With AIM Congress 2026 approaching, the strengthened alliance positions the Africa GCC Council to further amplify Africa’s investment story on the global stage and reinforce the Gulf’s role as one of the continent’s fastest-growing strategic investment partners.
