The Zimbabwe Assemblies of God Africa (ZAOGA) Forward In Faith Church will on Saturday, 2 May,2026 hold the 2026 Ezekiel  Handinawangu  Guti Day Walkathon  at the church’s Grange Christian Primary School in Harare, Zimbabwe.

The church is inviting all citizens from the country and beyond to get ready what they call  a historic day following the incredible turnout of previous years.

They said they  are excited to launch the 2026 edition with a brand-new challenge.

In a statement, the church said this year, they are walking the legacy and living the wellness.

They have called upon interested citizens to join them  on 2 May 2026 for a day of faith, fitness and family as they  honour Archbishop Professor Ezekiel H. Guti.

They have also called upon interested citizens to choose their  journeys ranging from  a  walkathon  for the whole family, half marathon  for the runners and the 21km Legacy Walk,a new route dedicated to walking in Ezekiel H. Guti’s  footsteps of service and love.

The church said those wishing to secure their spots can do so by registering  via or calling on +263 77 482 8239

Ezekiel Handinawangu Guti  was born on 5 May 1923  and passed on  5 July 2023.

He  was a Zimbabwean Pentecostal Archbishop, best known as the Founder and President of the Zimbabwe Assemblies of God Africa (ZAOGA), also known as Forward In Faith Ministries International (FIFMI) worldwide. and subsequent passing.

The Ezekiel H. Guti Day Walkathon and   Half Marathon is an annual event established to honour the life, legacy  and health-conscious example of the late Archbishop Professor Ezekiel Handinawangu Guti, founder of ZAOGA Forward In Faith Ministries International (FIFMI).

While Archbishop Guti was known for walking for health throughout his life, the organized walkathons in his  honour have  became a prominent annual fixture to celebrate his legacy after his 100th birthday.

The 2025 Walkathon was held on May 3, 2025, also at Grange Christian Primary School, featuring   distances  up  to 11km and  a “Legacy Gospel Musical Show.”

In the previous years, the event   has   been held  annually  around  May  5th, the date of Archbishop Guti’s birth.

In its significance, it serves to commemorate   Archbishop   Guti’s  passing on July 5, 2023  and his 75 years  of  non-stop gospel preaching.

According to the church, the event   emphasizes  “Walking the Legacy and Living the Wellness,” encouraging church  members  and other interested citizens to walk, jog  and participate in aerobics and health talks.
