HARARE — A prominent Malawian preacher known for his cross-border ministry is set to draw large crowds in Zimbabwe this weekend, underscoring the growing regional reach of Pentecostal movements across Southern Africa.
Wakisa Chizaso, widely referred to by followers as “Hon. 1 Major,” will travel from Lilongwe to Harare to lead a “Kingdom Wealth Service” on Sunday, April 26. The event is expected to attract thousands of congregants seeking financial breakthroughs, healing, and spiritual deliverance.
The service, organized in partnership with Noel Steamer of Harbour of Church International, will take place at Kambuzuma 1 High School in the high-density suburb of Kambuzuma, about 10 kilometers west of the city center.
Speaking to local media in Harare, Apostle Steamer said the gathering aims to address both spiritual and economic challenges facing communities.
“The main objective of this visit is conducting a kingdom wealth service which empowers church communities to become rich through almighty blessings from God,” he said, adding that private one-on-one sessions will also be offered.
Organizers expect attendees from across Harare, including neighboring suburbs such as Mufakose and Warren Park, reflecting strong local interest in prophetic ministries that emphasize prosperity and personal transformation.
Chizaso, who leads the Revival International Church (RICH), has built a following across Southern Africa, with previous ministry visits to Zambia, Botswana, and South Africa, as well as engagements overseas. His services are often characterized by themes of financial upliftment, healing, and deliverance—messages that resonate strongly in economically strained communities.

The upcoming Harare event comes amid a broader trend of regional evangelists expanding beyond national borders, leveraging large gatherings and faith-based messaging centered on prosperity and opportunity.
The service is scheduled to run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., with organizers encouraging early arrival due to expected high turnout.
