The Regional One Health Conference for Eastern and Southern Africa will be held in Lusaka, Zambia, on 11 to 12 December 2025.
Hosted by the Government of Zambia with co-organisers including SADC, World Bank, and the Quadripartite Alliance, the event brings together ministers, policymakers, private sector, youth, and civil society to launch a regional One Health declaration addressing health, climate, and cross-border threats.
The conference highlights the importance of working together to respond to challenges such as emerging diseases, antimicrobial resistance, and food safety, all intensified by climate change and increased interactions between people, animals, and the environment.
