Vice President Dr. Jane Ansah responded to Senior Chief Mwaulambya’s remarks by acknowledging the determination and diligence that define the people of Chitipa.
She noted that this strong work ethic is one of the main reasons the government has remained committed to ensuring that relief efforts reach the district without delay.
Dr. Ansah emphasized that such community resilience inspires the administration to intensify its efforts in addressing local needs and challenges.
She promised to convey the chief’s words of gratitude to President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika as an affirmation of the impact government interventions are having on the ground.
The Vice President pointed out that positive feedback from traditional leaders plays a vital role in shaping responsive and people-centered policies.
She further assured the gathering that the Ministry of Agriculture would intensify measures aimed at improving access to fertilizer for farmers across the region.
Dr. Ansah underscored that making agricultural inputs both available and affordable remains essential to boosting productivity and safeguarding household food security.

She also addressed concerns about financial assistance by reaffirming that President Mutharika remains firmly committed to honoring all pledges made to the Malawian people.
According to the Vice President, the President’s leadership is anchored in integrity, accountability and a dedication to delivering on promises that uplift communities.
Dr. Ansah concluded by announcing that MK5 billion in Constituency Development Fund (CDF) allocations will be distributed to every constituency to bolster local development initiatives and empower communities at all levels.
