As a Pan-African movement of people and organisations committed to unity, justice, peace and dignity, Africans Rising said it refuses to let Sudan disappear from the world’s attention.
They said their struggle is interconnected saying a crisis in Khartoum or Darfur is a crisis for the entire continent.
They said by declaring 2nd December a Day of Solidarity with Sudan, they aim to amplify Sudanese voices calling for peace, justice and dignity, pressure governments and international bodies to act on genocide, displacement and starvation, nobilise African movements to stand with the Sudanese people, highlight the resistance and resilience of communities in Sudan and the diaspora and break the silence and shift the narrative from pity to power.
