The new cabinet will face significant challenges, including addressing the country’s economic growth, improving infrastructure, and enhancing the business environment.


President Samia Suluhu Hassan of Tanzania has unveiled on a new cabinet lineup, bringing in fresh leadership across key ministries to drive government efficiency and accelerate national development priorities. The move aims to strengthen service delivery, reinforce accountability, and boost the implementation of flagship government programs.

The new cabinet includes:

– President’s Office for Public Service Management and Good Governance*: Ridhiwani Jakaya Kikwete (Minister) and Regina Ndege Qwaray (Deputy Minister)

– *Planning and Investment: Kitila Mkumbo (Minister) and Pius Steven Chaya (Deputy Minister)

– Defence and National Service: Raymond Nyasaho (Minister)

– Works: Hamisi Abdallah Ulega (Minister) and Eng. Godfrey Kasekenya (Deputy Minister)

– Transport: Makame Mbarawa Mnyaa (Minister) and David Mwakiposa Kihenzile (Deputy Minister)

– Industry and Trade: Judith Kapinga (Minister) and Pascal Katambi (Deputy Minister)

Other key appointments include:

– Finance: Khamis Mussa Omar (Minister), Loren Deogratius Luswetula (Deputy Minister), and Mshamo Munde (Deputy Minister)

– Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation: Mahmoud Thabit Kombo (Minister), Dr. Ngaru Jumaanne Magembe (Deputy Minister), and James Kinyasi Millya (Deputy Minister)

– Information, Culture, Arts, and Sports: Prof. Palamagamba Kabudi (Minister), Khamis Mwinjuma (Deputy Minister), and Paul Makonda (Deputy Minister)

– Youth Development: Joel Nanauka (Minister)
