Malawi: VP Enoch Chihana Promises Accelerated Development for Mzimba District

Second Vice President Enoch Chihana has reassured residents of Mzimba District that the government is fully committed to accelerating development in the area.

Speaking during a community engagement visit, VP Chihana emphasized that President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika is determined to ensure the district benefits from national development initiatives.

He highlighted ongoing and upcoming projects aimed at improving infrastructure, healthcare, education, and access to essential services in Mzimba.

VP Chihana also encouraged residents to actively participate in local development programs, stressing that community involvement is critical for sustainable progress.

He acknowledged the challenges faced by the district, including inadequate roads, limited access to clean water, and healthcare facilities, promising that the government will prioritize solutions.

Residents were urged to have confidence in the administration’s plans and to collaborate with local leaders to facilitate the smooth implementation of development projects.

VP Chihana concluded by affirming that President Mutharika’s vision is to ensure equitable growth across all districts, including Mzimba, leaving no community behind.
