Enviroedge Consulting, in partnership with SEALL ESG Reporting from Brazil, successfully hosted a high-level Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) workshop in Harare. The event brought together over 100 participants, including representatives from Zimbabwe’s leading corporations, government agencies, regulators, and development institutions such as ZB Financial Holdings, the Zimbabwe Consolidated Diamond Company (ZCDC), Croco Holdings, Ministry of Finance, Qupa Microfinance, Aura Holdings (Pvt) Ltd, IDBZ, ICAZ members, and Prevail International Group of Companies.
The workshop marked the official launch of the SEALL ESG Reporting Platform in Zimbabwe—a powerful, cloud-based system designed to simplify ESG reporting, track performance, and help organizations align with both local and international sustainability protocols.
Regulatory Backing: Government Mandates ESG Reporting
Reinforcing the urgency of ESG compliance, Deputy Minister of Finance, Economic Development and Investment Promotion, David Mnangagwa, highlighted that the Government of Zimbabwe has now made ESG reporting mandatory for all companies listed on the Zimbabwe Stock Exchange (ZSE) and the Victoria Falls Stock Exchange (VFEX), effective from the 2024 financial year.
This significant policy shift underscores the country’s commitment to sustainable development, responsible investment, and global transparency standards. Companies are now expected to align with these regulations by integrating structured ESG and sustainability practices into their operations and disclosures.
Delivering her presentation, Ms. Gabriella Ferolla from Brazil, CEO of SEALL ESG Reporting, introduced the platform through a live demonstration, highlighting how it transforms ESG from a compliance obligation into a strategic advantage. SEALL also took the audience through the journeys of multinational companies and of South Africa’s Rand refinery.
“SEALL was created to make ESG reporting practical, scalable, and impactful for companies around the world. We’re excited to bring this technology to Zimbabwe through our trusted partner, Enviroedge Consulting,” said Ms. Ferolla.
Mr. Samir Popatlal, CEO of Enviroedge Consulting—the exclusive implementation partner of SEALL in Zimbabwe—emphasized the growing need for businesses to adopt digital ESG tools to meet regulatory expectations, attract investors, and drive sustainable impact.
“As the regulatory and investment landscapes evolve, ESG integration is no longer optional—it’s essential. Through SEALL, we’re equipping Zimbabwean businesses of all sizes with a platform that supports real-time performance tracking, data-driven decision-making, and long-term strategic growth,” he said.
