The Türkiye – Tanzania Steel Trade Mission 2025 will be held on 4th September 2025 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, Dar es Salaam, bringing together leading Turkish steel exporters and Tanzanian businesses for a day of strategic trade engagement and pre-arranged B2B meetings.
Organized by the Turkish Steel Exporters’ Association in partnership with the Turkish Embassy in Dar es Salaam, the mission is designed to strengthen bilateral trade relations and explore new business opportunities in the steel, construction, and infrastructure sectors.
The event will connect Turkish manufacturers with Tanzanian importers, construction firms, hardware suppliers, industrial players, and procurement professionals—facilitating direct discussions on sourcing, distribution, and long-term partnership development.
“Participation in the B2B meetings is free, but online registration is required . Interested businesses are encouraged to sign up in advance to secure scheduled meetings with companies most relevant to their operations,” one of the organisers from Turkish Embassy said.
He added: “This mission is a significant step forward in strengthening Türkiye–Tanzania trade relations,
particularly in the steel and construction sectors, We welcome the Tanzanian business community to take full advantage of this unique opportunity.”
The delegation will bring together 24 representatives from 15 Turkish companies with key importers from the region. These meetings will also aim to open new doors for Turkish steel producers in East Africa’s growing markets as well as boost the global visibility and reach of Turkish steel.
However, the Türkiye – Tanzania Steel Trade Mission 2025 came after President Samia Suluhu Hassan’s visit to Turkey last year where cooperation in the trade and industrial sectors was discussed.
Tanzania is widening cooperation with Turkey in agricultural, industrial and technology sectors as Turkey has registered great strides in its industrial sector.
“Under the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and President Samia Suluhu Hassan, Türkiye and Tanzania are building a future defined by trust, prosperity and progress,” Dr Selemani Jafo, the Industry and Trade minister, said this in July this year at the signing of the joint trade committee (JTC) declaration between the two countries in Dar es Salaam.
