We remain committed to advancing Morocco’s strategic and economic interests while also deepening U.S. engagement across Africa, says Joseph Szlavik, President of Scribe Strategies & Advisors

Scribe Strategies & Advisors, a Washington, D.C. and London-based government relations and lobbying firm headed by Republican strategist Joseph Szlavik, has formally registered with the U.S. Department of Justice under the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA) to represent the Kingdom of Morocco.

Under the agreement with Morocco’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Scribe Strategies will provide strategic consulting and government affairs representation at a rate of $75,000 per month for the first three months, with subsequent months billed at $60,000. The scope of work includes:

  • Strengthening bilateral relations with the Trump Administration on trade and investment.
  • Supporting U.S. recognition of Morocco’s sovereignty over Western Sahara, a policy advanced during the Trump Administration.
  • Addressing regional security challenges, particularly terrorism threats posed by the Polisario Front. This engagement builds on Scribe Strategies’ extensive portfolio of sovereign clients across Africa:
  • Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC): Advising on peace negotiations with active participation from the White House and Senior Presidential Advisor Massad Boulos.
  • Republic of South Sudan: Supporting efforts to reset U.S. visa and trade policy, including deportation relief.
  • Republic of Côte d’Ivoire (Ivory Coast): Advising the world’s leading cocoa exporter on trade, tariffs, and political developments ahead of its presidential elections.

“Our firm is proud to support Morocco at this pivotal time in its bilateral relationship with the United States,” said Joseph Szlavik, President of Scribe Strategies & Advisors. “We remain committed to advancing Morocco’s strategic and economic interests while also deepening U.S. engagement across Africa.”

The registration and contract documents were filed with the U.S. Department of Justice’s FARA Unit on July 31, 2025.
