s part of the preparations for the presidential election of October 25, 2025, the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) proceeded with the official installation of the Electoral Commission of the Diplomatic Representation of the United States of America (CERD-USA), on Saturday, July 5, 2025, at the Ivorian Chancellery in Washington, DC
This installation was carried out under the supervision of Mrs. Yoli Bi née Koné Klintio Marguerite and Mr. Dan Jules Démosthène, Central Commissioners of the CEI, who have been in the United States since July 2 and will remain there until July 15
The installation ceremony brought together seven out of eight CERD members who proceeded, in accordance with the texts in force, to the election of the CERD-USA office.
Following a consensus among the stakeholders, the office of the United States local commission was composed as follows:
· President: Mr. Aboubakar Koné;
· Vice-president: Mr. Bamba Mamadou Adiko;
· Secretary: Mrs. Noufé SOM Odette.
The newly elected members were introduced to His Excellency Mr. Ibrahima Touré, Ambassador of Côte d’Ivoire to the United States of America, who gave them some advice and urged them to carry out their mission with rigor and impartiality.

Furthermore, during their mission, the two Central Commissioners will discuss with the Ivorian community the issues of the upcoming election, in particular citizen sponsorship, now required for all candidates in the presidential election.
Initially scheduled for the same day, the information meeting with the Ivorian diaspora has been postponed to Wednesday, July 9, 2025.
