Trinity Energy Group, a leading Pan-African integrated energy solutions provider with operations across East and Central Africa Region, is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Ken Mugambi as the Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective February 1, 2025.
This leadership change follows the transition of Mr. Robert Mdeza, the outgoing CEO, to Board Level after seven years of exceptional service and leadership at the Executive level. The Board of Directors has expressed its sincere gratitude to Mr. Mdeza for his significant contributions to the growth and success of Trinity Energy Group and looks forward to his continued involvement with the company in his new capacity.
Mr. Mugambi, previously the Deputy CEO, has been responsible for strategic growth and diversification of the Group, and now takes on the responsibility of steering the Group across its key markets, including South Sudan, Kenya, and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), as well as leading the company’s expansion initiatives across the Region. His appointment marks an exciting new chapter for Trinity Energy Group, and the Board is confident that his experience and leadership will steer the organization towards even greater success.
Mr. Mugambi is a holder of an MBA with a bias in Global Energy Management from the University of Calgary in Canada and Bachelor of Science Degree with a major in Actuarial Mathematics from the University of Nairobi. He also holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from the University of Leicester and a Certificate in Petroleum Policy Development from Petrad in Norway. Mr. Mugambi is passionate about bridging Africa’s energy access challenge and has spoken extensively in global forums on a just energy transition for the continent.
