CAF Unveils New Logo and Trophy for CHAN

The Confederation of African Football on January 15, 2025, unveiled a new logo and trophy for the TotalEnergies CAF African Nations Championship (CHAN) 2024.

The showpiece is set to kick off in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania in August 2025.

According to the confederation, the new look for the tournament brings a fresh identity and emphasises its deep-rooted connections to African football and culture.

“It comes with a new TotalEnergies CHAN 2024 trophy that features a sleek, contemporary design, combining gold and silver elements, representing the prestige and growing stature of the tournament,” said CAF in a statement.

CAF added that the trophy stands as a powerful symbol of African football's ongoing progress and our shared passion for the game.
The trophy has 54 distinct lines encircling the trophy, symbolizing the 54 African nations united with a map of the continent at its core.

“This element underscores the championship’s celebration of diversity and unity across the continent. Each line represents the foundation of African football, a pathway carved by our passion and skill, a tribute to our players and our dreams,” stated the statement further.

The unveiling of the new logo and trophy came before the tournament's draw which is set to be held at the Kenyatta International Conference Centre, Nairobi, on January 15, 2025, at 8 pm local time.

A total of 19 teams will participate in the tournament which is in its eighth edition.
