BUEA, Cameroon—The Foretia Foundation, which aims to catalyze Cameroon’s economic transformation by focusing on social entrepreneurship, science and technology, innovation, public health, and the implementation of progressive policies that together create economic opportunities for all, has announced the appointment of Benjamin Tanyi as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
This move marks a significant step in the Foundation's mission to foster inclusive growth and economic development. Tanyi brings a wealth of experience and a fresh vision to the organization.
The appointment was confirmed on October 2, signalling a new chapter in the Foundation's leadership. With over 15 years of experience in leadership roles across Central and West Africa, driving multi-million-dollar programs in diverse sectors such as telecommunications, financial services, and business consulting, Benjamin Tanyi’s deep expertise in strategic development, operational excellence, and organizational transformation will be invaluable to the Foundation’s mission of catalyzing Africa’s economic transformation.
Benjamin, according to a note from the Foretia Foundation has also held several significant roles, including Chief Operating Officer at Proximity Group, where he led cross-functional teams across eight countries and drove sustainable growth. His most recent position as Country Analyst for Euromonitor highlights his ability to provide strategic insights to clients and shape market strategies across the region.
With his deep expertise in strategic development, operational excellence, and organizational transformation, Benjamin Tanyi is expected to steer the Foundation into its next phase of growth. A leader with a passion for problem-solving and community empowerment, Benjamin is dedicated to fostering innovation and creating social impact, values that strongly align with the core mission of the Foundation, Foretia Foundation noted.

In addition to the appointment of Benjamin Tanyi, Lilian Bishi Cumber Molute, has also been appointed as the new Chief Operating Officer, COO of the Foundation. As the Chief Operating Officer, Lilian is responsible for operational management, strategic planning and execution, communication and reporting, board interactions, culture and ethics, risk management, succession planning, and organizational structure.
Lilian holds an MBA from the University of South Wales, UK, and is an Affiliate of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). She is also the Founder & CEO of an organic lifestyle brand focused on bio-living. She is a growth-focused and innovative leader with over a decade of experience in finance, operations and grant management. She has held numerous leadership positions and has a proven track record of leveraging industry and sector experience to drive organizational success.
