With 15+ years of leadership experience in strategic development and organizational transformation, Benjamin joins us to further our mission of catalyzing economic transformation.

BUEA, Cameroon—The Foretia Foundation, which aims to catalyze Cameroon’s economic transformation by focusing on social entrepreneurship, science and technology, innovation, public health, and the implementation of progressive policies that together create economic opportunities for all, has announced the appointment of Benjamin Tanyi as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

This move marks a significant step in the Foundation’s mission to foster inclusive growth and economic development. Tanyi brings a wealth of experience and a fresh vision to the organization.

The appointment was confirmed on October 2, signalling a new chapter in the Foundation’s leadership. With over 15 years of experience in leadership roles across Central and West Africa, driving multi-million-dollar programs in diverse sectors such as telecommunications, financial services, and business consulting, Benjamin Tanyi’s deep expertise in strategic development, operational excellence, and organizational transformation will be invaluable to the Foundation’s mission of catalyzing Africa’s economic transformation.

Benjamin, according to a note from the Foretia Foundation has also held several significant roles, including Chief Operating Officer at Proximity Group, where he led cross-functional teams across eight countries and drove sustainable growth. His most recent position as Country Analyst for Euromonitor highlights his ability to provide strategic insights to clients and shape market strategies across the region.

With his deep expertise in strategic development, operational excellence, and organizational transformation, Benjamin Tanyi is expected to steer the Foundation into its next phase of growth. A leader with a passion for problem-solving and community empowerment, Benjamin is dedicated to fostering innovation and creating social impact, values that strongly align with the core mission of the Foundation, Foretia Foundation noted.

The Foretia Foundation is renowned for its work in economic policy, entrepreneurship development, health, and governance. It has been a key player in addressing critical issues such as unemployment, poverty, and access to healthcare, particularly for underserved populations. As the organization looks to expand its impact, all eyes will be on Tanyi to see how he builds on the Foundation’s legacy while bringing his ideas to the table.

In addition to the appointment of Benjamin Tanyi, Lilian Bishi Cumber Molute, has also been appointed as the new Chief Operating Officer, COO of the Foundation. As the Chief Operating Officer, Lilian is responsible for operational management, strategic planning and execution, communication and reporting, board interactions, culture and ethics, risk management, succession planning, and organizational structure.
