The NEUMAN & ESSER Group recently participated in an economic delegation to Algeria led by Vice Chancellor Dr. Robert Habeck, Germany's Minister for Economic Affairs and Climate Action.

During the delegation's visit to Algiers, an essential part of the German-Algerian energy partnership, the delegation focused on the SoutH2 corridor.

This ambitious project aims to harness renewable energy for hydrogen production and transport it through the existing natural gas pipeline to the EU, Italy, and Germany via Austria.

The delegation comprised a diverse group of Hydrogen and Renewable Energy experts from the private and public sectors.

“The interactions and discussions with these experts were deemed just as important as the dialogues and round-table sessions with Algerian experts and policymakers,” said NEUMAN AND ESSER Group in a statement.

As an immediate strategy to improve Algeria's Greenhouse Gas Emissions Balance and stimulate the country's Natural Gas industry, the emphasis was on preventing hydrocarbon venting and flaring by implementing modernized processes and technology, such as gas-tight compressors.

NEUMAN&ESSER Group stated that these initiatives will create employment for the youths.

“Going beyond the energy security of the EU and the reduction of GHG-Emissions, NEUMAN & ESSER, with its clear focus on and proven history of creating jobs and value locally, is convinced that initiatives like this can also offer a good perspective for the young population of Africa to find qualified employment both in their home countries and in the EU,” added the firm.

The NEUMAN & ESSER GROUP, a global family business, offers various solutions across the entire hydrogen (H2) value chain.

With a century of experience in H2 compression, initially for the chemical and oil and gas industries and increasingly for renewable applications since the early 2000s, the company has broadened its offerings.

It includes electrolyzers with multiple megawatt capacities, small-scale reformers, and hydrogen refuelling and trailer filling stations today. This diverse portfolio positions NEUMAN & ESSER Group as a comprehensive service provider, offering a one-stop shop for the growing hydrogen economy.
