BAL Will Continue To Shine Light On Africa’s Global Leadership Capacity-Amadou Gallo Fall

Following decades of hard work, the Baskeball Africa League -BAL is primed to continue shining the light on Africa’s vibrant sporting culture and the continent’s capacity to be a global leader, says Amadou Gallo Fall.

In a Dec 21,2023 message to celebrate the first ever World Basketball Day, the President of BAL lauded the merits of a sport that has inspired millions of people in Africa and globally.

“Basketball transcends borders, cultures, and languages, much like many other sports do. It serves as a catalyst and convener that allows individuals from all backgrounds to interact, engage, and communicate with one another, removing barriers and creating ties that advance social cohesion,” said Amadou Gallo Fall whose leader has elevated BAL to the pinnacle of sports in Africa.

Amadou lauded the enormous efforts of the NBA to help in the growing of basketball in Africa with the creation of BAL in partnership with FIBA as a success story.

The Basketball Africa League (BAL) recently announced the launch of “BAL Future Pros”, a new program to help professionals across Africa to pursue their careers within the sports ecosystem and develop their skills, network and experience in the sports industry

“BAL Future Pros” will be implemented in the league’s headquarters in Dakar, Senegal, from February to May, and remotely in Kigali, Rwanda from March to June in conjunction with the BAL Playoffs and Finals.  The program will offer 20 successful candidates the opportunity to join one of the BAL’s 10 departments: marketing, social responsibility and player programs, public relations and communications, event management, logistics, business development, marketing partnerships, digital production, merchandizing, and travel and hospitality.
