Kenyan International Eric Johana Omondi has signed a two-year deal with UTA Arad FC of Romania.
The striker joined the Romanian side from Thailand’s Muangthong United, where he scored ten goals and offered three assists in 28 appearances in the 2022/2023 season.
UTA Arda confirmed the acquisition of Omondi via a post on its Meta page, previously known as Facebook.
“Striker Eric Johana Omondi arrived in Arad today and will join the team led by Mircea Rednic,” read the post.
The 29-year-old began his career at Kenya’s Mathare United before joining the Swedish championship side Vasalunds IF.
He has also played for Brommapojkarna and J-Södra in Sweden and the Belgian Beveren.
Omondi has made 36 appearances for Kenya’s national team, Harambee Stars, scoring six goals.
