Kenya’s national carrier, Kenya Airways, has been voted Africa’s best airline staff at the 2023 World Airline Awards.
The 2023 World Airline Awards were announced in a gala ceremony held in the iconic Air and Space Museum at the Paris Air Show.
The event brought together more than 350 guests from airlines worldwide, with many airline CEOs, Presidents, and Senior Management in attendance to accept their prizes.
The Best Airline Staff Service Awards honour the combined airline crew service at both the airport and onboard.
“We are extremely excited and humbled to be recognized as having the Best Airline Staff in Africa. We take great pride in our employees, who drive our competitive advantage. Our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion is a cornerstone of our success, as it empowers our team to deliver on our brand promise of service with an African touch to our customers,” said Tom Shivo, Chief People Officer Kenya Airways.
South African Airways emerged second in the best airline staff award category, followed by Ethiopian Airlines. South Africa’s FlySafair and RwandaAir were in fourth and fifth positions, respectively.
The World Airline Awards was established in 1999 to assess global customer satisfaction. To determine the award winners, travellers worldwide vote in the largest airline passenger satisfaction survey.
