United States First Lady Jill Biden on Friday arrived in Kenya ahead of her three-day visit in the East African nation.

Mrs. Biden arrived in the country onboard the Executive One Foxtrot (EXEC1F) plane from Namibia.

She was received by her Kenyan counterpart Rachel Ruto at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA), Nairobi.

During her visit, the First Lady of the United States is anticipated to focus on boosting bilateral ties, notably by advocating women’s economic empowerment projects such as table banking.

Dr. Biden’s visit is her third to Kenya, albeit her first as First Lady of the United States (FLOTUS).

She is expected to meet President William Ruto and other government officials.
