Cameroon: ICT University joins AWS Academy, Equips Students with In-Demand Cloud Computing Skills

BUEA, February 28 – The ICT University, has been selected to join AWS Academy, an Amazon Web Services, AWS, program that provides higher education institutions with a ready-to-teach cloud-computing curriculum, continuing its mission to impart ICTs in all academic disciplines.
The ICT University is the leading institution in imparting technology-transformative knowledge and skills in Cameroon. It aims to train youngsters with skills that prepare them and the country for the ever-changing world.
“Participating in the AWS Academy Program is a splendid opportunity for the ICT University,” Emmanuel Fru, AWS Academy Program Coordinator at the ICT University said. “With a primary objective to nature the country’s most talented IT professionals, it is our mission to offer industry-standard training to our students. Via this program, Students will gain high in-demand cloud computing skills that will boost their current and future careers.”
The AWS Academy curriculum is developed and maintained by AWS subject matter experts, ensuring that it reflects current services and up-to-date practices. Courses are taught by AWS Academy-approved educators who are trained by AWS to help students become proficient in AWS technology.
The ICT University Cameroon, it should be said operates a purely US-based curriculum to provide quality ICT and Managerial Human Capacity Development specially targeted for Africa, Latin America, the Caribbean and Asia. The ICT University is a vibrant institution which aims at imposing itself as the premier destination for research, innovation and training of scholars relevant to the context of developing economies.
The first batch of students completed courses that will prepare them to pursue careers in the fast-growing could computing space and industry-recognized AWS Certifications during our Fall (October) 2022 semester.
About the ICT University
The ICT University Cameroon is a private institution based in Yaounde, which provides learning in the fields of ICT, renewable energies, telecommunications management, educational sciences and the development of managerial capacities specially targeted for Africa, Latin America, the Caribbean and Asia. It also has a French-speaking section in Cameroon.
