By Samuel Ouma President Biden met with President Macky Sall of Senegal at the White House, Washington DC, on Tuesday, June 28, 2022. The two leaders discussed the impact of Putin's war against Ukraine on food security in Africa. At the same President informed his Senegal counterpart of the imminent G7 announcement on further efforts to support food security. The two presidents also discussed the G7 Partnership for Global Infrastructure and Investment, including a new flagship project to invest in a new industrial-scale vaccine manufacturing facility in Senegal with the potential to produce hundreds of millions of doses of COVID-19 and other diseases vaccines annually. President Macky Sall is the current African Union chair.
