Odinga was received by Kenya’s envoy to the UK Manoah Esipisu. The Orange Democratic party leader left on Sunday night after being endorsed as the presidential candidate for the Azimio La Umoja coalition, which includes more than 30 political groups. On Tuesday, Odinga is expected to meet with the UK Minister of Armed Forces James Heappey at the Ministry of Defence headquarters. He will also hold talks with UK Prime Minister’s trade envoy to Kenya Theo Clarke at Westminster on the same day. Thereafter, he will head to Emirates Stadium where he will watch a football match between Arsenal and Liverpool. The AU infrastructure envoy will meet with Lord Tarif Ahmad, the UK Minister for South Asia, North Africa, the United Nations, and the Commonwealth -Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Office on Wednesday Later that afternoon, he is also invited to Chatham House for a Thinktank lecture. on Thursday, Odinga will meet Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby before meeting Kenyans leaving in UK. The former Prime Minister is being accompanied by Governor Ali Hassan Joho (Mombasa) and Charity Ngilu (Kitui), MP Junet Mohamed, former MP Peter Kenneth, former Head of Public Service Sally Kosgey and COTU secretary-general Francis Atwoli.
