By Samuel Ouma Kenya’s coach Engin Firat has named a 27-man squad for the upcoming 2022 World Cup qualifiers against Uganda and Rwanda. Firat has handed the first call to Georgio-based Amos Nondi, Timothy Ouma of Nairobi City Stars, and Belgium-based Wilkins Ochieng. Michael Mutinda (Kenya Commercial Bank), Anthony Akumu (Kaizer Chiefs), Philemon Otieno (Gor Mahia), Eric Johanna, Sweden-based Anthony Wambani, and Ismael Dunga of Sagan Tosu have made a return to the team. Consequently, Spain-based midfielder Ismael Gonzalez, David Owino (Napsa Stars), Simba SC defender Joash Onyango and Henry Meja (AIK) have been dropped from the squad. Harambee Stars will take on Uganda on November 11 before hosting Rwanda three days later.
