Kenya names squad for Uganda and Rwanda World Cup Qualifiers

By Samuel Ouma Kenya’s coach Engin Firat has named a 27-man squad for the upcoming 2022 World Cup qualifiers against Uganda and Rwanda. Firat has handed the first call to Georgio-based Amos Nondi, Timothy Ouma of Nairobi City Stars, and Belgium-based Wilkins Ochieng. Michael Mutinda (Kenya Commercial Bank), Anthony Akumu (Kaizer Chiefs), Philemon Otieno (Gor Mahia), Eric Johanna, Sweden-based Anthony Wambani, and Ismael Dunga of Sagan Tosu have made a return to the team. Consequently, Spain-based midfielder Ismael Gonzalez, David Owino (Napsa Stars), Simba SC defender Joash Onyango and Henry Meja (AIK) have been dropped from the squad.
