Andre Onana: Inter Milan reach verbal agreement with Cameroonian Goalkeeper

Inter Milan plan to sell their second-choice goalkeeper according to reports to bring in Andre Onana. Transfer market journalist Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that the Cameroonian international has reached a verbal agreement with Inter Milan since July 2021. Andre Onana is ready to join Inter Milan as a free agent when his contract with Ajax expires in June 2022. The Sky sports journalist has also revealed that no contract has been signed between Andre Onana and Inter Milan but everything is at the final stages and just a matter of time before the signing is announced. French Ligue 1 clubs Nice and Lyon had inquired about signing Onana who has been on the side-lines for months no due to his nine months ban. But it is reported that the talks went nowhere as Andre Onana has already spoken to Inter Milan. Premier League club Arsenal had also been in the mix but the club had since signed another goalkeeper. Ajax, Onana’s present club have already come to the consensus that they will lose the player next summer. It is still uncertain if the Cameroonian ill receive any game time when he comes back from the ban as he looks to be selected for the upcoming AFCON on home soil. Andre Onana will be open to play football again after his ban ends this November. And with Davis Epassy, Omossola Simon, impressing in the goal post for the national team, Andre Onana will find it difficult to get a place at the national side.
