DAKAR, Senegal, October 1, 2020,-/African Media Agency (AMA)/-The Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), the African Union (AU) and the United Nations will begin a joint high-level visit to Conakry this Thursday 01 October 2020.
The objective of the mission is to renew the support of the three organizations for the holding of a peaceful, inclusive, and transparent presidential election on October 18.
The delegation will be composed of Ms. Minata Samaté, AU Commissioner for Political Affairs; Mr. Jean Claude Kassi Brou, President of the ECOWAS Commission; and Mohamed Ibn Chambas, Special Representative of the Secretary General and Head of the Office of United Nations for West Africa and the Sahel (UNOWAS).
During two days, the delegation will hold several meetings with Guinean stakeholders.
