Curbing Covid-19: ST Donates 100 Bags of Rice to Needy Gambians

ST Brikama Boyo, awards winning Gambian artiste has donated 100 bags of rice to the poor and needy to curb the spread of the covid-19 pandemic.
The Ministry of Health said the new laboratory confirmed cases of COVID-19 registered 37 with 12 active cases and two death, while 250 persons are under quarantine.
The Brikama born singer earlier set up a GoFundMe aiming to raise a given amount which will be later be used to purchase goods during the covid-19 pandemic. It is part of his efforts curb the spread of the coronavirus in the Gambia.
Gambia is currently under lock down due to the covid-19 pandemic which affected the daily economic activities especially the poor who are living from hand to mouth.
Speaking at the donation ST said: “Today, we made a donation of 100 bags of rice through my Community Development foundation to help with the Covid-19 relief efforts. We can achieve a lot for our communities when we come together with one objective to empower our people; especially during such trying times. We appreciate all those who sent in their contributions through our online fundraiser.”
He assured his continuous support to the community at all times especially during difficult times, and he strongly believed in sharing and caring for the people to live in a happy life in their various communities.
