Mastercard’s CEO meets with Uganda’s Prime Minister to discuss the role of technology in driving inclusive growth

KAMPALA, Uganda, 23 October 2018 -/African Media Agency (AMA)/- Ajay Banga, President and CEO of Mastercard, visited Uganda this week where he met with Dr. Ruhakana Rugunda, Prime Minister, Republic of Uganda. During their meeting, Mr. Banga reinforced Mastercard’s ongoing commitment to the country and also emphasized the role that digital payment ecosystems can play in enabling economic growth and driving financial inclusion, supporting Uganda’s Vision 2040.
