African Development Bank President Akinwumi Adesina paid a courtesy call on Ghana's President, John Dramani Mahama, in Accra on Friday, October 16. Discussions centered on challenges and opportunities for development in the West African nation. Adesina and Mahama cited agriculture as the game changer, with the ability to create jobs for young people, while at the same time ensuring food security. The AfDB President was in Ghana alongside World Bank President Jim Yong Kim and other development partners ahead of End Poverty Day, on October 17, for the launch of the regional report “Poverty in a Rising Africa” in Jamestown, Accra.
