Côte d’Ivoire will host the 2027 U.S.-Africa Business Summit following the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement between the government and the Corporate Council on Africa (CCA), bringing one of the leading platforms for U.S.-Africa trade and investment to the West African nation.
The agreement was signed during the Côte d’Ivoire Business and Investment Forum, held on the sidelines of the 2026 United Nations General Assembly in New York. CCA announced the development in a social media post on September 21, confirming Côte d’Ivoire as the host of the next edition of its flagship business summit.
The announcement comes as Côte d’Ivoire seeks to attract greater international investment under its 2026–2030 National Development Plan. According to CCA, the country has secured more than US$80 billion in investment commitments under the plan, providing a foundation for its efforts to accelerate economic development and expand partnerships with international investors.

The 2027 summit will bring together African governments, American companies, global investors and business leaders to explore commercial opportunities, strengthen partnerships and advance shared economic priorities. It will also provide Côte d’Ivoire with an opportunity to present its investment agenda to a broad international audience.
For the Ivorian government, hosting the summit offers an opportunity to build on the investment commitments secured under its development plan while strengthening commercial ties with the United States. The gathering will provide a platform for discussions with prospective investors and partners interested in Côte d’Ivoire and the wider African market.
The Corporate Council on Africa has long used its annual U.S.-Africa Business Summit to connect American and African business leaders, government officials and investors. The event brings together decision-makers from the public and private sectors for discussions on trade, investment, financing and commercial partnerships.
The selection of Côte d’Ivoire extends the summit’s reach to another major African economy and places Abidjan at the center of preparations for the 2027 gathering. The event will follow the 2026 U.S.-Africa Business Summit scheduled for December 6–9 in Mauritius.
CCA has not yet announced the exact dates or detailed programme for the 2027 edition. With the hosting agreement signed, preparations can now move forward for a gathering that will put Côte d’Ivoire’s investment ambitions and broader U.S.-Africa commercial relations in the spotlight.
