Afro Culture Connect Unites Zimbabwe and Jamaica in a Historic Night in Zimbabwe

Gateway Stream Media in partnership with Massive Events and Roughmix is set to host a vibrant international music showcase on 4 April 2026 at the prestigious Harare International Convention Centre (HICC), bringing together celebrated artists Jah Prayzah and Alaine for a unique cultural celebration.

Themed “A Tale of Two Cities” the Afro Culture Connect celebrates African and Caribbean musical heritage while creating a unique cultural bridge between Zimbabwe and Jamaica.

Fans can expect an evening of live performances, vibrant African rhythms, soulful reggae, and high-energy stage production from the two globally recognised artists.

The two big acts will be supported by Feli Nandi, Xiba, Nisha T, Kadjah, Volts JT, Ninety6, Raymar, Ngwere Diki, Kadiki. Templeman MC Mox, Tanaman Yahya Goodvibes and Dj Eve will also be there.

In an interview, Gateway Stream Media Manager Elton Kurima said the concert celebrates the vibrant musical connection between Zimbabwe and Jamaica and promises an energetic night of entertainment.

“The event will showcase two outstanding headline acts — Zimbabwe’s music superstar Jah Prayzah and Jamaican reggae sensation Alaine. They will be supported by a dynamic and energetic line-up of local performers, bringing together a rich blend of musical styles and cultural expression,” Kurima said.

“This carefully curated line up  is designed to deliver a high-quality, immersive entertainment experience that celebrates the strong cultural ties between Zimbabwe and Jamaica, promising audiences an unforgettable night of music, unity and vibrant performance.”

Kurima said fans can expect an energetic and vibrant night of music and entertainment.

“Alaine is known for her captivating stage presence and dancehall-inspired reggae sound, while Jah Prayzah brings his signature Zimbabwean musical excellence. The concert is titled A Tale of Two Cities, celebrating the coming together of Zimbabwe and Jamaica through music and culture,” he said.

“Afro Culture Connect is more than just a concert — it’s a celebration of identity, music, and cultural exchange that unites audiences through shared African and Caribbean heritage. Whether you are a fan of Jah Prayzah’s rich Zimbabwean sound or Alaine’s soulful reggae hits, this is a night you won’t want to miss.”

Jah Prayzah, acclaimed for blending contemporary Zimbabwean sounds with traditional influences, will deliver a captivating performance, while Alaine, celebrated internationally for her reggae and lovers rock hits, brings her distinctive Jamaican flair to the stage.

For concertgoers’ convenience, organisers have introduced exclusive accommodation packages for those attending the AfroCulture Concert, with rooms at the Rainbow Towers Hotel and Conference Centre.

 This is expected to allows patrons to fully enjoy the event without the stress of travelling late, providing easy access to comfortable over-night accommodation within close proximity to the venue.
