France Donates Logistical Material To The Mozambican Forces

 French naval surveillance frigate the Floréal called at the Port of Beira, Sofala Province in Mozambique, where it delivered logistical material for the Defence and Security Forces.

The material includes folding camp beds, mosquito nets, folding tables and blankets, according to a statement issued by the French Embassy in Maputo.

Floréal’s stopover at the port of Beira also served to take Mozambican sailors on board for naval exercises with the French navy and to transport combat rations for the French military detachment based in Chimoio as part of the European Union Training Mission in Mozambique.

After the port of Beira, the frigate, which is attached to the Armed Forces Command in the Indian Ocean Area, based on Réunion Island, will call at the port of Maputo until 6 February. The crew consists of 12 officers, 52 petty officers and 22 boatswains and subalterns.
