October 27, 2021

By Samuel Ouma Kenya’s giant Gor Mahia FC on Wednesday beat Kariobangi Stars 2-0 in the mid-week fixture at Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani, outskirts of Nairobi. Forward Benson Omalla put the visitors ahead in the 12th minute before Peter Lwasa doubled the lead in the 82nd minute. Gor has maintained their unbeaten start to the season, having defeated KCB, AFC Leopards, and now Sharks. The 19th time Kenya Premier League champions started the 2021/2022 campaign with an emphatic 2-1 win against the last season’s runner’s up, KCB. They later edged their arch-rival AFC Leopards 1-0. The former champions are now tied in the first position in the standings with Kakamega Homeboyz, Nairobi City Stars, and Bandari, each with nine points.
