Several, if not all people are seeking ways to turn their passion into money (profits). That power to be able to transform passion into profits gives you the ability to work at your time, where you want, and when you want.

You have probably imagined the lifestyle and accolades you can receive if you are just able to transform that burning passion inside you into a money-making machine. Making that transition has proven successful for many while many others have faced failure.

Before proceeding on how you can make the shift from passion to profits, below are some great quotes on passion that will begin to spark the drive of never giving up and pursuing your dream at full steam.

Passion quotes

“Passion is energy. Feel the power that comes from focusing on what excites you.”
-Oprah Winfrey

“If passion drives you, let reason hold the reins.”
-Benjamin Franklin

“You have to be burning with an idea, or a problem, or a wrong that you want to right. If you’re not passionate enough from the start, you’ll never stick it out.”
-Steve Jobs

“We must act out passion before we can feel it.”
-Jean-Paul Sartre

“Nothing is as important as passion. No matter what you want to do with your life, be passionate.”
-Jon Bon Jovi

“Yes, in all my research, the greatest leaders looked inward and were able to tell a good story with authenticity and passion.”
-Deepak Chopra

“If you don’t love what you do, you won’t do it with much conviction or passion.”
-Mia Hamm

“I have no special talents. I am only passionately curious.”
-Albert Einstein

How to profit from your passion – The general guide

Dream as big as the ocean, but start small
Never be afraid to dream big. It doesn’t cost a dime to dream big so give yourself a moment to ponder on your dreams and look at it from a great big telescope.
It’s just as Ryan Shupe and the Rubberband sang in their hit song “Dream Big,” “And when you dream, dream big, As big as the ocean, blue. Cause when you dream it might come true. For when you dream, dream big.”
While you dream of the big picture, start executing your dream but start small. Every business idea/ dream started on a small scale before expanding into conglomerates. Do not be afraid to start small. Starting on a small scale allows you to test the waters, to see how your products and services resonate with your targeted customers, and test the scalability of your idea.

How to profit from your passion – Maintain your current work while pursuing your passion
Turn your passion into reality will require time and effort, however, having a sense of security and a safety net is important as you go through the transformative journey. Until your passion is providing you with a sustainable income and a growing cash flow, it is best to keep to your day job to take care of the necessary bills and expenditures. You will also need enough savings in the eventuality your passion takes longer than usual to grow.

How to profit from your passion – Set out manageable goals
Breakdown your overall dream goal into specific smaller targets that you can attain daily, weekly, and monthly. Breaking down your overreaching goals into fragments enables you to know where to begin in your execution phase and helps you accomplish each task with ease. Pushing hard on your smaller and specific objectives increases the odds of you achieving your main goal quickly.

How to Profit from your passion- Focus on your strengths and get the right people
Focusing on your strengths and acquiring the right people to help you achieve your goals can help you attain the overall objective of your dream much more quickly. Trying to juggle everything on your own may stress you out and place you in a rut.

The next thing you know, you are throwing in the towel. Outsourcing to the right people drives you, keeps your focus, and helps you reach your target early. Of course, not everyone will buy into your dream, that is why it is imperative to find the right people who will, and run the race with them. So, you may be a graphic designer or a great marketer but bad at accounting or financial record keeping, well, it is time to find the right account or financial disciplined and savvy individual that can assist.

Plan your future
Once you kickstart your business, do not leave it at that, it is time to plan into the future. You need to start planning how you want the company to look in a year or two and consider all the things you will do to progress the business. You need to have the foresight and great research analysis to determine future trends to adjust marketing strategies, embrace new technologies and innovative ideas, check pricing strategies, and analyze your competitors’ strategies.

Remember, starting a business requires effort, discipline, perseverance, and a whole lot of patience and passion because success doesn’t come overnight. It is a painstaking process. The tendency to quite may surface but with the above-stated ‘ingredients’ you can never and must not give up.
