Mali : rejet du projet de charte de transition par la coalition d’opposition M5

Le Mouvement du 5 juin, qui a mené la contestation contre le président Ibrahim Boubacar Keïta au Mali, a rejeté la charte de transition soutenue par la junte ayant renversé le chef de l’État et définissant le retour à un pouvoir civil, selon un communiqué reçu dimanche par l’AFP. La coalition, composée d’opposants politiques, de chefs religieux et de membres de la société civile, y dénonce « la volonté d’accaparement et de confiscation du pouvoir au profit » des militaires qui ont pris le pouvoir le 18 août.

La « charte » en question

Cette « charte » n’a pas été publiée dans l’immédiat, mais le document en discussion samedi prévoyait une transition de 18 mois, conduite par un président désigné par un comité lui-même établi par la junte, selon des correspondants de l’AFP. Parmi les points non conformes de la charte adoptée, la coalition cite l’absence de « reconnaissance du rôle du M5-RFP et des martyrs dans la lutte du Peuple malien pour le changement » et affirme que les travaux avaient abouti au « choix majoritaire d’une transition dirigée par une personnalité civile ».

Des experts désignés par la junte ont adopté vendredi une « charte » de transition au terme de trois jours de discussions à Bamako réunissant personnalités politiques et de la société civile – dont des représentants du M5-RFP – ainsi que des militaires. « Le Mouvement du 5 juin – Rassemblement des forces patriotiques (M5-RFP) constate, au terme des concertations nationales des 10, 11 et 12 septembre 2020 sur la Transition, que le document final lu lors de la cérémonie de clôture n’était pas conforme aux délibérations issues des travaux », déplore la coalition dans ce communiqué daté de samedi. « En conclusion, le M5-RFP se démarque du document produit qui ne reflète pas les points de vue et les décisions du Peuple malien », poursuit-elle.
