Jackson Juma alias Pogba has joined Kenya Premier League side Wazito FC.
The midfielder joined the moneybags from AFC Leopard, the source from the club confirmed.
Juma could not hide his joy about the move.
“I am happy to be here. Wazito is a good team and every player wants to come here. The team is well organized. To the fans I want to promise them that we will do a good job,” he stated.
Wazito FC head coach Fred Ambani believes their seventh signing will help them challenge for the title next season.
“Juma is a young player with potential. He is a good tackler and I hope that he continues to work hard in order to realize his full potential,” he stated.
The Nairobi-based team has already signed seven new players ahead of the new. Other six include Boniface Omondi, Kevin Okumu, Vincent Oburu, Kevin Kimani, Mark Otieno, and Edwin Omondi.
Before the 2019/2020 season was halted due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Wazito was 13th in the log with 20 points after playing 23 games.
On Thursday, August 20, KPL giants AFC Leopards claimed they have signed winger Pater Thiong’o from Kakamega Homeboyz. However, Homeboyz chairman Cleophas Shimanyula rubbished the claims insisting that Thiong’o is still their player.
