Joice Mujuru, the former vice president of Zimbabwe, is leading the opposition to replace President Robert Mugabe.
But allegations of corruption and claims that she and her late husband Solomon amassed a vast fortune during their time in government have dogged the one-time freedom fighter.
However, Mujuru rejects the claims, calling them “fabrications”.
“Why is it that they're still very quiet about those billions of dollars that the world has been told about?” asks Mujuru. “Because, this is now the opportune time for the world to discover.”
In this Web extra, Mujuru tells Mehdi Hasan that even she is not aware of the value of her late husband's estate, saying, “It's all with the courts.”
